Web Design UI / UX E-Commerce Layout Brand Experience

A heritage furniture brand needed a digital home as refined as the pieces inside it. We built a website that makes every visitor feel like they've just stepped into a palace showroom.

What We Did

Royal Antique Home is a Ghanaian furniture brand with a very specific position in the market — premium, heritage-inspired pieces crafted for buyers who care deeply about quality and aesthetics. Their collection spans ornate dining sets, statement lounge chairs, carved wooden beds, and decorative accent pieces, each carrying a story of craftsmanship and classical design tradition. The brand had a strong product and a loyal local following, but their online presence was doing none of that justice.

When they came to us, the brief was both clear and ambitious: build a website that feels like a private showroom. Not a catalogue. Not an e-commerce template. A considered, immersive digital experience that makes visitors feel the quality of what they're about to own before they've touched a single piece. That brief shaped every decision we made from the first wireframe to the final deployment.

We began with a thorough design discovery process — reviewing the client's existing brand materials, photographing product samples, studying comparable international luxury furniture brands, and mapping the full customer journey from first discovery to custom order enquiry. What emerged was a design direction built on three pillars: rich imagery, intentional restraint, and effortless navigation. Nothing should compete with the furniture. The website's job is to get out of the way and let the pieces speak.

The visual identity applied to the web centres on a deep warm background, refined serif typography, and a gold accent system that ties directly into the brand's existing colour language. The homepage hero — a full-bleed statement piece against a dark, atmospheric background — sets the tone the moment the page loads. The headline "Furniture Fit For Royalty" lands with quiet authority, no animation, no clutter. Just confidence.

The product showcase section was one of the most technically interesting problems to solve. The client's catalogue is wide-ranging — a single-seat throne chair sits alongside a full ten-piece dining suite — and we needed a grid system flexible enough to handle wildly different products without ever looking inconsistent. We built oversized product cards with consistent cropping ratios, soft drop shadows that give each piece a sense of physical weight, and a minimal information layer: name, category, and a single "Enquire" action. The restraint is deliberate — in luxury markets, mystery drives desire.

For performance and technical implementation, every image is delivered through Cloudinary with automatic format conversion (WebP/AVIF where supported) and responsive sizing. This means the site loads fast even on mobile connections in Ghana, where network conditions vary significantly. The codebase is hand-written HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no heavy framework overhead — keeping the payload lean and the rendering smooth. The result scores consistently well on Core Web Vitals, which matters both for user experience and organic search visibility.

The finished product is a seven-page website — homepage, about, catalogue, individual product pages, custom order form, gallery, and contact — delivered in three weeks from kickoff to launch. It's a digital presence that holds its own against international luxury furniture brands, built right here in Ghana for a brand that deserves to be seen at that level. The live site is available for anyone to visit, and we're genuinely proud of every pixel of it.
